Virginia Eleanor Johnson, 102, went home to be with her Lord on Nov. 16, 2022. The daughter of Ole and Marie Borseth, Eleanor was born on Feb. 4, 1920, on the family homestead in Watford City, North Dakota. On Nov. 20, 1945, Eleanor was united in marriage to the love of her life, Floyd Johnson.
Eleanor loved being a wife, mom and homemaker. Her faith and relationship with Jesus was the most important thing to her and seeing that her family followed the same path. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting and baking the best apple pies around. She was a member of First Alliance Church, where she taught Sunday School for over 30 years.
Eleanor is survived by her son, Mark (Avonne) of Billings; her daughter, Marilynn (Dennis) Clymore of Billings; grandchildren Nikki (Scott) Stoppel of Billings, Chris (Tabitha) Johnson of Billings; five great-grandchildren, Brady, Kailee, Morgan, Macy and Harper.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband Floyd; her parents; brothers Max and Ole; and sister Aileen.
Special thanks to the following for their love and support of Eleanor: Ken and Cil Borseth, Darwin and Dorothy Johnson, Bruce and Beth Bendler and First Alliance Church Family.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at First Alliance Church, 1835 Central Ave. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Montana Rescue Mission or Samaritan’s Purse.
