Shirlie M. Boggio

Shirlie M. Boggio, age 81, of Billings, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018. She was born on Sept. 24 in Powell, Wyoming, to Arthur and Sally Hoffer. She was raised on the farm and attended school in Powell and graduated in 1955. She then attended Billings Business College.

She met and married Gary G. Boggio. Together, they raised four beautiful children: Lauri, Julie, Steve and Sue. She was a dancer on Friday nights with close friends; a good cook, especially the shrimp parties. She was full of life, fun, loving and devoted wife and mother who always took in any extra friends the kids brought home. She lived in Billings; Louisville, Colorado; and Roosevelt, Utah.

Shirlie was preceded in death by her parents and son Steve.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gary, and beloved dog Barney; daughters Lauri (Jim) Kujala of Red Lodge, Julie (Don) Louk of Billings and Sue (Steve) Armijo of Lafayette, Colorado.

Grandma's "light of her life" were her five granddaughters: Annie (Andy) Austin, Stephanie (Leo) Clayton, Cara Wilson, Katie (Stefano) Barberi and Alexandra Armijo; great-grandchildren Riley and Maggie Austin, Reid and Reece Clayton, Brynley Wilson and Micheli Barberi.

A special "thank you" to the RiverStone Hospice House.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary in Billings.

No services are planned at this time. A private family service will take place in the spring.
