Shirley Knudson

Shirley took the hand of Jesus and left this Earth on July 31, 2025
Shirley was born to Henry and Mabel (nee Frates) Halligan October 7, 1935 in their farm home near Brule, Nebraska. Shirley began singing for large groups of people at the age of five and continued singing, teaching, and playing music her entire life.
Shirley graduated from the University of Nebraska. While attending the University of Nebraska Shirley Halligan met the love of her life and soon married Kay F Knudson. The couple were blessed with three wonderful sons and their families.

There will be a service led by Deacon Tom Landry on August 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM prior to the inurnment of the ashes when they will be placed in the couple’s niche located in the Columbarium at Saint Pius X Catholic Church in Billings, Montana.
