Shawna K. Grove, born Shawna K. Hart on November 29, 1990, in Billings, Montana, passed away tragically on April 22, 2026. Her life, though far too short, was marked by a radiant spirit and a heart overflowing with love, touching all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Shawna was charismatic and joyful—a woman whose very presence was illuminated by a sparkle in her eye and a smile that encompassed her entire face. She was known for her unwavering trust in everyone she met, embracing the world with openness and kindness. But above all else, Shawna’s greatest joy and passion were her children. They were the center of her universe, the light that brightened her days and the reason behind her every effort. Her devotion to them was profound and enduring.
Her warm and generous soul extended beyond her immediate family. She leaves behind children who adored her—Cougar (Lauren West) Roberts, Mason Morris, Teegun Grove, Gunner Grove, and Esper Grove. Her legacy also lives on through her cherished granddaughter, Rosie Roberts. Shawna’s close bonds of family were further reflected in her sister Dominica (Nathan) Parsons and her brother Dylan Hart, who join many friends in mourning her loss.
We are devastated by the senseless violence that ended Shawna’s life - a heartbreaking tragedy that has left a void impossible to fill. Yet even in this grief, those who loved Shawna remember her unwavering joy, her trusting heart, and the immeasurable love she held for her family.
Shawna is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Amy Hart, and her biological mother, June Hart.
A memorial service celebrating Shawna’s beautiful life will be held on May 8, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church located at 2420 13th Street West, Billings, Montana 59102. This gathering will offer all who knew her a moment to reflect, honor, and remember a life full of light and love.
Though Shawna’s time with us ended far too soon, the imprint she leaves on her family, friends, and community is indelible. Her joyful spirit, her wholehearted smile, and her trust in humanity will remain forever etched in their hearts. She was a shining soul taken in her prime—but her memory will continue to inspire and comfort all who loved her.
The service will be broadcast via First Presbyterian Church Facebook
