Sharon Lea Trusler Miller

Sharon Lea Trusler Miller passed away Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, surrounded by family. She bravely fought a long, hard battle against cancer. She never gave up, all in the name of gaining more precious time with her family.

She was born Aug. 1, 1946, to Calvit and Betty Trusler in Port Angeles, Washington. Her childhood years were spent in Blue Creek, Shepherd and Billings. Sharon graduated from Billings West High.

In 1967, she married Melvin Miller, where she raised three children on the family farm west of Billings. She loved being on the farm and working in her yard. She raised her family, and was a positive influence in all her grandchildren's lives.

All would agree that Sharon was one of the bravest, strongest and hardest-working women you'd ever meet. She always had a project "in the making." You would rarely catch her doing something which involved a slow pace, like watching TV. In earlier years, Sharon became involved in the Yellowstone Cattlewomen. Prior passions were painting and stained glass making. Later, she entered a business adventure with her sister creating a "Made in Montana" gift shop named Prairie Blossoms.

Sharon was deeply involved in all her grandchildren's lives. She was a guiding force in their lives, and her values will continue to go on through them.

Most recently, Melvin and Sharon proudly celebrated their 50th anniversary, and were able to spend time in one of their favorite places, Hawaii.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin; her daughter, Lea Ann Zinne (Todd); two sons, Steve Miller (Stephanie) and Greg Miller; grandchildren Tyler, Hailey and Kallie Zinne, Seth Miller, Gianna and Chance Miller.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at Michelotti-Sawyers, 1001 Alderson Ave. Burial will be at a later date.
