Sharon Lauwers Henderson, age 74, was born in Miles City, Montana on April 24, 1951, to James ‘Jim’ and Roberta ‘Bobbie’ Lauwers. She died at St Vincent Hospital July 17, 2025 during a heart cath procedure.
Sheri was the oldest of three children. Younger brother, Rick, was born in 1953, and baby sister, Cathy, joined the family in 1960. Sharon attended grade school in Miles City through the 5th grade. The family moved to Billings after her dad took a job at then Midland Bank . She attended Grand Elementary School, Lewis and Clark Middle School, and Billings Senior High, graduating in 1969. She attended Billings Business College and worked as a bookkeeper most of her life.
She met the love of her life, Earl Henderson, on a blind date in high school. They married May 23, 1970. In 1982, they welcomed daughter Heidi Jo. The family of four was complete when youngest daughter, Megan Ann, was born in 1985. Sharon loved being a mom and stayed home to raise the two girls. While her daughters were growing up, she was a proud dance mom, swim mom, PTA president and LOGOS (youth group) director. Sharon returned to work when the girls were older, working at Family Promise as a bookkeeper and most recently as a Client Care Coordinator at Big Sky Behavioral Health. Sharon also loved being a Grammy.
Sharon followed in her baby sister, Cathy’s, footsteps and joined Bath Zabbia Temple No. 21, Daughters of the Nile in 2014 with daughter Megan, as daughter Heidi was going through the line. This made Sharon, along with Cathy, a third generation Daughter of the Nile member, and the girls fourth generation.
