Sara Katherine Gross Profile Photo

Sara Gross grew up east of Billings and graduated from Huntley Project High School. Her bright and inquisitive mind, paired with her curiosity about dinosaurs led her to pursue a geology degree, which she completed at Rocky Mountain College. An artistic person, Sara painted in vivid colors and created beautiful, lasting memories with her talent as a classical pianist. Sara had a kind heart and loved having animals around her, particularly her beloved dog Moho. Her friendships were a vital part of Sara’s life and she was drawn to “her people” who, like herself, felt themselves to be outside of the society she lived in. Sara’s passions in life were many and she pursued them energetically. Sara was an enthusiastic gamer and loved being a part of online teams pursuing victory in a virtual world. Sara’s diverse interests and colorful perspective on life led her to spirited discussions and debates with family over card games that she enjoyed immensely. Arguing for her causes brought Sara energy and ultimately were fed by her core belief that she wanted the world to be a better place for those she loved.

Sara is survived by her parents, Tim (Becky) Gross and Jo Kubesh; her brother, Brent (Melodie) Gross; sister Amy (Scott) Neuman; and her nieces and nephews, Garrett Gross, Elise Neuman, Evan Neuman, and Alaina Gross.

Sara will be interred alongside family at the Dawson County Cemetery in Glendive, Montana.
