Sandra Gayle Knudson Kessler

Sandra Gayle Knudson Kessler, 86, of Billings, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022. Sandra was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, businesswoman and friend. She will be missed by many.

The daughter of Earl and Josey Knudson, she was born on Aug. 28, 1935, in Peerless, MT. She was the fourth born of six girls and four boys: Lyle, Betty, Dolly, Lois, Sandra, Bill, Alan, Bonnie, Karen and Dave.

Sandra married Roy Kessler in Peerless on Feb. 21, 1955. Together, they built a very successful Shaklee business. They traveled to several countries and every state in the U.S. building their business.

Sandra and Roy lived in Wolf Point for 15 years, where their four children were born: Chuck, Debbi, Sheila and Kandi. In 1974, they moved to Billings to raise their family and continue to grow their Shaklee business.

Sandra loved company. She was warm and hospitable, always having coffee and treats for guests.

Survivors include three children, Chuck A. Kessler (Patti), Debbi L. Hanna (Jim) and Kandi L. Christopherson; six grandchildren, Dustin Kessler, Trenton Kessler (Melida), Patrick Kessler, Jesse Hanna (Shasha), Dylan Hanna (Sandy) and Jake Hanna; and four great-grandchildren, Sofia and Quincy Kessler and Paisley and Hailey Hanna. Also surviving are her sister, Lois Kaatz; three brothers, Bill Knudson, Alan Knudson (Sandy) and Dave Knudson (Lori); several nieces and nephews; a special niece, Shelley; and friend Joyce.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roy; infant daughter Christi; daughter Sheila; brother Lyle Knudson; and sisters Dolly Martin, Betty Michels Nordgren, Bonnie Beck and Karen Haugrud.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 18, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, with interment at Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park.
