Ruth Ann Bales

Ruth Ann Bales, 70, of Billings, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011.

She was born on March 31, 1941, in Wilkes Barre, Pa., to Frank and Stella Brown. On Nov. 15, 1969, she married Robert L. Bales, Sr., in Casper, Wyo.

Ruth had two children: a son, Robert Jr., and a daughter, Jenny. In 1978, she and her family moved to Billings, where she spent the rest of her life. She was a wonderful wife and mother and will be greatly missed.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by her husband; daughter; son and his wife Beth; granddaughter Katie; and two sisters, Estelle McManus of Hillsborough, N.J. and Dorothy Klause of Lake Wales, Fla.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Billings. Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary and Crematory is assisting with arrangements.
