Ronda Lynn Poindexter

Ronda Lynn Poindexter passed away on March 16, 2026, in Billings, Montana. Born on June 25, 1959, in Asheboro, North Carolina, Ronda’s life was marked by devotion to her loved ones and a spirit that reflected a quiet strength.

Ronda served her country with limited service in the United States Air Force. Her time in the military, though brief, was a testament to her willingness to contribute and support her nation in whatever way she could.

Ronda’s greatest joy came from her family. She loved them "in the best way that she knew how," a phrase that captures her way of showing care and dedication. Her grandson will remember baking his Butterfinger birthday cake with her, and other family members hold special traditions with Ronda in their hearts.

She is survived by her daughter, Lona Fonville; her son, Richard Fonville; and her stepdaughter, Amanda Huftalen, who each carry forward her legacy. Her family also includes three grandchildren, Edward, Abigail and Oliver; and two great-grandchildren, Tobias and Lincoln, who were blessed to have her in their lives. Ronda is also survived by her siblings—Anthony Poindexter and Theresa Hendricks—and her cherished sister of the heart, Kristina Langlais-Wood. She is also remembered by Jim Huftalen. Ronda was preceded in death by her parents, Bobbi and Patsy Poindexter; brother, Dana Pointexter; and son, Michael.
