Rogelio Ybanez, aka Roy, was 40 years old, born in California and lived there most of his life until 2020, when he decided to move to Montana to enjoy the outdoors life of fishing and hiking. He wanted to learn to hunt also. Roy was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan since childhood. He was always a hardworking man and dedicated to his family, especially his mom, brother, sisters, and his nieces and nephew. When we share his memories it is mostly of him laughing and acting goofy and silly, always a prankster.
Roy leaves behind his mother, Wanda Laveulette; his stepfather, Thomas Laveulette; his father, Roy Ybanez; his grandmother, Lorena Huerta; grandfather Fred Saenz; his brother, Michael Ybanez; sisters, Monica Ybanez, Marissa Ybanez Vela; his aunt, Sarah Gonzales aka as his sister; his seven nieces and one nephew whom he loved dearly. He also is survived by several aunts, uncles, and lots of cousins.
Each time we look at your pictures and see you smiling, you seem to be saying, don’t be sad, but take courage and love each other for my sake. You will live in our hearts forever until we meet again.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park.
