Robert “Raymond” Reed passed away at home in Worden, MT. Raymond was born in Billings, MT, to Robert and Betty (Brunmeier) Reed on January 28, 1955, and passed away on September 13, 2025. Raymond was raised on the family dairy farm and worked the cows as soon as he was able to walk. He attended and graduated from Huntley Project High School and continued to work on the farm even after his dad retired. After the cows were sold, Raymond worked a few odd jobs before ultimately beginning his work at Huntley Project Schools, where he worked for the last 18 years before retiring in August of 2025.
Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Raymond Reed and Betty Ann Reed (Brunmeier), and many aunts and uncles. He is survived by his siblings, Ronald (Remi), Joann Reed, Carolyn (Edward) Schaak, Donna (Ronald) Curtiss, and many other nephews, nieces, and great-nephews and nieces. Raymond was known by many and always wore his heart on his sleeve. He was always there to help and rarely complained. He had a heart of gold and will truly be missed. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to the Huntley Project School Art and Music programs. Grave side services will be held at 10:00 AM at Pleasantview Cemetery, Ballantine, MT, on October 3, 2025, with a Celebration of Life following at the Bethlehem Congregational Church, Worden, Montana.
