Rick Hutchinson

Rick Hutchinson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, surrounded by family.

Rick was born on May 20, 1934, in the back of a car in Columbus, Ohio. He attended Columbus West High School, where he met his future wife, Barbara Williams. They were married on Sept. 15, 1956. They both attended Ohio State University, and Rick graduated in 1957 with a bachelor's degree. He was very proud of his education, and always enjoyed a good game of pool, often saying that was how he paid for his education. Rick was drafted into the Army. After his service to our country, he began working for the government as a geologist/hydrologist. As a result of his employment, they lived in many places. Upon retirement, Rick enjoyed working with computers, investing and teaching others.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara and their three sons, Doug (Robin), Greg (Jodi) and Chris (Mary). They also have seven special grandchildren.

A special thank you to all the wonderful staff at Hanson Cottage located on the grounds of St. John's Lutheran Ministries.

Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later time.
