Richard J. Lauwers

Richard J. Lauwers, 63, of Billings, passed away at his home, Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016.

The son of James and Roberta "Bobbie" Lauwers, he was born March 3, 1953 in Miles City. Rick graduated from Senior High School, automotive school and received an associate's degree in accounting.

He worked as a mechanic and warranty clerk.

Rick enjoyed baseball and music.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy; children, Daniel (Trish) Lauwers, Julie Lauwers and Jason (Amanda) Lauwers; three grandchildren, Devon, Jasmine and Peyson Lauwers; his mother, Roberta (Paddock) Lauwers; sisters, Sharon (Earl) Henderson and their daughters Heidi (Fred) Sparks and Megan (Chris) Owen, and Catherine (Robert) Culbertson and their sons Joshua and David; and numerous extended family. Rick is preceded in death by his father James and grandson Keagan Lauwers.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave., with interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow at First Presbyterian Church.
