Paul Cordy Meseberg, age 48, passed away suddenly on June 26, 2025, in his hometown of Billings, Montana.

Born on January 29, 1977, in Billings, Paul grew up surrounded by friends, family, and the vast Montana sky. He attended McKinley Elementary and Lewis & Clark Middle School and graduated from Billings Senior High. He went on to earn his teaching degree from MSU-Billings.

Throughout his life, he remained passionate about learning, laughter, and connecting with others.

Paul was a lover of all music genres and could light up any room with his sharp wit and boundless humor. He had an extraordinary gift for remembering movie and TV quotes and for winning Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune from the comfort of his chair.

A natural athlete and outdoorsman, Paul was an avid snowboarder, spending memorable years on “The Big Mountain” in Whitefish. He also loved the game of golf and especially treasured rounds spent with his dad, brother, and nephews. Through his role as sports director at the Billings Family YMCA, Paul had a profoundly positive influence on the lives of many young people in the community. He inspired other adults to lead in positive ways.

Paul is survived by his loving parents, Donald and Fern Meseberg; his brother Chad (Kathryn) Meseberg; nephews Conner and Brennen Meseberg; his cherished cat, Bogey; his partner, Sydne Nelson; along with aunts Donna Pulver and Darleen Holmes, Uncle Lowell (Punkie), many Peterson and Meseberg cousins, and dear friends James Scott, Mike Dayton, Jay Cook, Mike Brew, Dan Snedigar, Chris Bakken, and many more who will miss his warmth, humor, and generous spirit.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Emmett (Roberta) Meseberg and Paul (Leota) Peterson and other beloved family members, including aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 3 at 11:00 AM at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave., Billings, MT.

Paul never met a stranger — his heart was open, his friendship genuine, and his laughter contagious. He will be remembered for his big heart, sharp sense of humor, and the joy he brought to every life he touched. Gone too soon and forever in our hearts.
