Michele Brocopp Zander, age 58 of Billings, Montana, passed away on Tuesday April 21, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family. She was the eldest of two children born to Don and Marilyn Brocopp in Billings, MT. She attended Billings West High and followed with college at Colorado State University. After working in marketing in Vail, Colorado she moved to Chicago where she received her MBA in Business Finance. Her successful career began at Deloitte where she excelled at taking on the challenges of a job that brought her joy. Michele spent the majority of her adult life in Chicago where she raised the true loves of her life, her two sons. Quint (23) and Telford (20) brought pride and joy to her life through their outstanding achievements and will continue to do so as she watches over them. Missy will be remembered with fond memories made with lifelong friends that were with her until the end, flying around with her grandparents, Ralph and Flora Nelles, her proud service on the board of Honor Flight honoring America’s Veterans, her loyal faith and wonderful Bible study group and Faith Chapel family, her love of music and her time spent in Paris. Michele’s favorite place was the family cabin in the beautiful Beartooth Mountains. Spending time in Cooke City/Silvergate hiking, camping, tinkering in the garage with her dad and fishing with her boys meant the world to her. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye far too soon. We would like to thank the family, friends and the amazing caregivers who were by Michele’s side throughout her brave battle.

Michele is survived by her mother, Marilyn Brocopp, her brother Tim Brocopp (Mindy), her sons Quint and Telford Zander, as well as her Aunt Vonnie and Uncle Ted, Cousins Amy Klue (JJ), Eric Fink and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Nelles Nurse Scholarship fund at Intermountain Health/St. Vincent Healthcare in Michele’s name at 1106 N 30th Street, Billings, MT 59101.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
