Martha "Marty" Kraske passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026.
Marty and her beloved husband, Don, built a loving family and a successful business together over six decades of marriage. Married in 1962, they raised three children while working side by side as entrepreneurs, creating a lifetime of memories with family and friends.
A graduate of Billings Senior High School, Marty worked alongside Don in their grocery business, beginning with their first store in Bridger, Montana, and later in Thermopolis, Wyoming. After years in the grocery business, they opened and operated the Ritz Theater, which Marty successfully managed until she and Don retired in 2015.
Throughout their marriage, Marty and Don shared a passion for travel. They rewarded themselves for their hard work by exploring the world together, enjoying numerous cruises and worldwide adventures that created lifelong memories.
Retirement fulfilled one of Marty's lifelong dreams when she and Don returned to her beloved Billings. She had always looked forward to moving home, where they happily spent their retirement years.
Marty was known for her generosity, outgoing personality, and love of family. She treasured time with her children and grandchildren, who adored their Nana and especially looked forward to her homemade cinnamon rolls and the dozens of Christmas cookies she baked each holiday season.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don.
Marty is survived by her daughter, Kala Ryan, and grandchildren Nicole and Tripp; her son Chad Kraske (Jeannette) and grandchildren Ned, Logan, Cade, and Kiefer; and her son Greg Kraske (Ilja) and grandchildren Kirsten, Aisley, and Parker.
Marty was laid to rest beside Don at St. Pius Cemetery on July 11, 2026.Her family finds comfort in knowing she is once again reunited with Don. Marty will be remembered for her bright smile, warmth, generosity, entrepreneurial spirit, love of adventure, love of family, and the many happy memories she created with those she loved.
