Marlene Mohl, 90, died June 2026 in Billings, Montana. Born to Abram and Olive Zook, she and her 4 siblings were raised in rural Kansas. She carried those heartland values and appreciation for simple joys throughout her life. She built a life centered on family and home. She married Keith 71 years ago and his love and companionship were her source of strength.
As they moved to North Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana, Marlene always dedicated herself to making a comfortable home for her family. She had a special gift for planning and preparing meals for those she loved. She also found joy in tending to her garden and preserving the bountiful produce she nurtured there.
In their later years, Marlene and Keith made many trips to Maui where they enjoyed the beautiful scenery and watched professional golf. She cherished these memories.
She passed on her legacy of faithfulness, hard work, contentment with simplicity, and the importance of family to her three sons, James (Gwynne), Greg (Virginia), and Doug (BJ).
She is survived by her sister, Elsie Rein, her husband, Keith, her sons and their families which include five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her steady presence and the love she had for each of them.
There will be a service commemorating her life at 1:00 MDT on Monday, June 29 in the Michelotti-Sawyers chapel, 1001 Alderson Avenue, Billings, Montana. A livestream broadcast of the service will be available on this page.
