Marcella Josephine (Ronquillo) Sullivan

Mom went to be with our Heavenly Father on June 24, 2015.

Mom was born in Las Animas, Colo., on July 17, 1935.

She married the love of her life, Daniel Joseph Sullivan. They had four children: Julia, Daniel, Steven and a stillborn daughter. She was a proud grandmother of 15 and great-grandmother of 28.

She later married Robert Lala and raised Deanna, the youngest of her children.

She was very proud to have earned her high school diploma. She had an eye for fashion and did some modeling. She was artistic and had a witty sense of humor. She loved fishing, reading and crossword puzzles. She loved traveling with Dan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, a granddaughter and brother.

She is survived by two daughters; two sons; three sisters, Rita Peterson, Florence Hollowell and Gloria Jean Fischer; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 2, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 3, at Mary Queen of Peace, 3411 Third Ave. S. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
