Louis F. Polk

Louis Frank Polk (PeeWee), 61, passed away peacefully in his sleep September 19, 2025 at Laurel Health and Rehab. Center Laurel, MT. PeeWee was born May 2nd, 1964 in Conrad, MT the son of Marion “Tex” and Lois (Cain) Polk.

From an early age PeeWee knew what he wanted in life, he left school to be a roughneck like his father whom he looked up to greatly. He would always proudly declare to be a graduate of the University of Trippin’ Pipe and Makin’ Hole. He worked for countless oilfield companies collecting the patches or stickers of any company he worked for or with during his time in the Patch. On his journey in life he married Carla Moore (Divorced) having two children Elizabeth “Lizzie” Polk and Erin Polk. Married Rachelle Rantz (Divorced) having Brandon Polk and Kyle Rantz. Then he met Andrea Shafer and was able to settle down, adding three more kids to his family Mandie Hermance, Andrew Hermance and Arlon “AJ” Brickel.

PeeWee was proud of his Scottish heritage and had an extensive kilt collection to prove it. He was a self-proclaimed outlaw and avid motorcycle enthusiast, building and customizing his own bikes. PeeWee loved westerns, horror and reading but most of all he loved his family. He took great pride in being Papa P and is survived by his 11 grandchildren, children Lizzie Polk; Erin (Jessie) Polk; Mandie Hermance; Andrew Hermance; AJ Brickel; Brandon Polk; Kyle Rantz. His many siblings, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and of course his extended biker family and roughneck brothers that he made throughout his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Beverly Jo Massey and Donna Gaye White; brother, Preston W. Polk; son-in-law, Michael Holland; nephew, Austin Robertson.

A memorial will be held October 9th, 2025 12pm at the Montana Club 221 Main St. Shelby, MT.
