Loretta Jean Jonas

Loretta Jean Jonas, 81, of Billings, passed away at Riverstone Hospice on Thursday, December 24th.

She was born in Huntley, MT on September 18, 1934 to Fred and Marie Hankel. She attended Billings schools.

Loretta married Marcus Jonas, Jr. on October 14, 1950. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and dancing. She was an excellent quilter and enjoyed making quilts for family members. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of family.

Loretta is survived by three daughters. Marjean (Bob) Charles of Missoula, Karen (Rick) Brewer of Billings, and Denise (Jim) Clausen of Gillette, Wyoming, eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, three sisters, two brothers, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Marcus in 1998.

Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Michelotti-Sawyers. A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30th, at Trinity Lutheran Church.
