Joycelyn Faye Pulley passed away in her home on December 30th, 2025, at the age of 81. Born in Fergus Falls, MN, to Pearle and Clifford Brandvold, Joyce was one of 11 children and grew up in a house full of family and love. So, it is no surprise that she loved her family fiercely and valued her time with her loved ones above anything else.

Joyce spent much of her youth in Cut Bank, Mt where she attended CBHS. She always had fond memories of her high school days, and went to as many reunions as possible, often with a sibling or two in tow. She graduated from CBHS in 1963 and married her husband, Robert (Bob) L. Pulley, that same year. They moved to Billings, Mt in 1967, where she worked at Sambo’s restaurant, before moving on to a career at US Bank and then helping out at Goofies Bar and Grill, their family-owned business. She was active in her social groups and loved to be involved, including taking on duties for the Ladies League at Par 3. She also enjoyed time as a homemaker, taking care of her three children and eventually helping to care for her four grandchildren.

Joyce was an active young woman and remained active as long as she was able. She was athletic and very social, and loved getting involved in group sports, including the local ladies softball league at Gohram Park, a bowling league at Fireside Lanes, and was a member at Billings Par 3 and Laurel Golf Club, where she spent her summers golfing and forming lifelong friendships. She loved the annual Women’s Run, in which she volunteered and participated in for over 20 years.

Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed much of her adult life with her children and grandchildren right down the road, and her family was blessed to have her so near and to have her as a prominent figure in their lives. Her family remembers her for her love, wit, and stubborn personality. Joyce had an opinion, whether you wanted it or not, and dang it if she wasn’t right most of the time. She had a competitive spirit and loved playing board games. Yahtzee lived on the counter, and the family made it their mission to beat her, which didn’t happen often. Holidays were spent at her and Bob’s house, whether it was a Birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or anything in between. There was always a puzzle table set up, and homemade goodies to munch on. She loved to host and cook for her family, her Porcupine Meatballs being a family favorite, and the traditional Sausage Brunch on Christmas morning was non-negotiable. She was also a massive Elvis fan, his music she loved, and she had a large collection of albums and memorabilia she collected over the years. In September, the whole family would load up in the car and road trip through West Yellowstone to Shelly, ID, to visit her parents and brother Steve, and attend the annual Spud Days Festival.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pearle and Clifford, her firstborn, Robert L. Pulley Jr., and her brothers Ron and Jerry Brandvold. She is survived by her husband, Robert (Bob) L. Pulley; children, Bobby Pulley, Amy Krell, Andrea Huck, James Krell (son-in-law), and Brian Huck (son-in-law); grandchildren, Christine Krell, Zach Krell, Kaitlyn Bunch, Jazzlyn Pulley, and Levi Huck; and great-granddaughter Raelynn Pulley. She is also survived by her siblings Joan, Linda, Steve, Joel, Sandy, Patti, Jeff, and David.

We will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date, to allow for family and friends to all gather together.
