Gayle Ann
Bahr
May 7, 1960 — Aug 6, 2026
Billings, MT
Gayle Ann Bahr was born in Brainerd, MN, to Carl and Norma Marohn on May 7, 1960, and passed away on August 6, 2026. She was one of seven children. When Gayle was a teenager, the family moved to Billings, where she graduated from Senior High School.
After high school, Gayle began her career in the medical field. You could find her smiling face at the front desk of several medical offices throughout her career. She was organized, intelligent, welcoming, and a dedicated employee. She recently retired in April 2026 from Premise Health.
Gayle married Ken Bahr, and they moved to Alaska, where their son, Eric, was born. After they divorced, Gayle made her way back to Billings, where she settled and raised Eric. She was a very dedicated single mom to Eric. She was GG (Grandma Gayle) to her grandchildren, Mikey, Megan, and Charlie. She loved the title and her role as GG.
Gayle loved her family, baking, sewing, reading, and cooking. It was a given that she would bring dessert to every family function. Her cheesecake and pies couldn’t be beat!
We always knew we could go to her for medical advice, baking hints, or simply a listening ear. We will miss her dearly.
Gayle was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Pat Rowse. She leaves behind her son, Eric, and daughter-in-law, Kathryn, as well as their three children, Mikey, Megan, and Charlie; sisters Kathy Siemers (Larry), Connie White, Karen Reinke, and Karla Hofer (Chris); and brother Bill Marohn (Leslie). She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and their children.
Her kindness, humor, and love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her.
