Garry Gene Leikam

Garry Gene Leikam went to be with the Lord on May 31, 2024, passing of natural causes.

Garry was born on July 26, 1942, in Sidney, to Bill and Lydia Leikam. In 1955, he met the love of his life and married Dorothy Walters on Nov. 21, 1962.

Garry enlisted in the Army on July 16, 1960. He worked at Elk River Concrete and later worked for the federal government. He retired in 2006. After retirement, Garry and Dorothy traveled. Garry enjoyed fishing, hunting and his ’34 Chevy Coupe.

Garry is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and brothers Bob and LeRoy.

Garry is survived by his sons, Chuck (Kathy) Leikam, grandsons Charlie and Brandon (Tori) Leikam; Paul (Joy) Leikam, grandchildren Kandace (Andrew) Larsen, Paige (Ryan) Wilcox, Ian (Avery) Leikam, great-grandchildren Jasmine and Liam; and brothers Donny and Mike Leikam.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 7, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 537 Grand Ave.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
