Floyd Charles Kimmel

Floyd Charles Kimmel, age 88, went to be with his Lord on April 12, 2026. Born on May 16, 1937, to Charles and Velma Kimmel. Floyd was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting and camping with his family. He was a member of the Billings Rod and Gun Club from 1966-2000. He participated in trap and skeet as well as teaching hunter safety for 6 years. He was a member of the Mount Olive Lutheran Church for over 60 years. Floyd was in the Air Force for 3 years and worked as a Fireman with the Billings Fire Department for 3 years. 

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Jay Kimmel, Lena Spurgeon, Gladys Dowel, Jim Kimmell, Nila Zuelke, Lucille Wininger, Susie Kaden and Bill Kimmel. He is survived by his wife Carol Kimmel, married for 66 years, on June 30, 1959; daughters, Carolyn (Rick) Anderson, Sheila (Steve) Buschette; sons, Kevin (Melanie) Kimmel, Corey (Kim) Kimmel; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; plus numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 2336 St. John’s Avenue, Billings.
