Dorothy Elaine Cattnach Dauenhauer was born to Melvin and Charlotte Cattnach on July 8, 1937, in Austin, Minnesota. Dorothy graduated tom Billings Senior High School. She married the love of her life, Louie Dauenhauer, on September 25, 1957 in Billings, Montana. Together, they built a beautiful family with four children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
From an early age, Dorothy was known for her kind spirit, and a deep love for her family, rooted in faith, service and quiet strength. Dorothy was a dedicated member of the Billings UPCI Pentecostal Church of Billings since she was 15 years old. Dorothy took pride in showing up for others in meaningful ways. Above all, Dorothy treasured time spent with family and close friends.
Dorothy and Louie found joy in everyday moments- shared meals, laughter, church services, and conversations that brought people together. These moments became the foundation of her life and cherished memories.
Dorothy is survived by her four children, Dale Dauenhauer, Darell (Karen) Dauenhauer, Roger (Sheryl) and Lisa (Doug) Shepherd, who will continue to honor her legacy through love, faith and dedication to one another.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Danuenhauer; parents, and siblings.
Though she is deeply missed, Dorothy’s life is a quiet reminder of the impact of compassion, humility and unwavering love.
