Diana Rae (Peck) Stein

Diana Peck Stein, passed away on January 28, 2026 at the age of 68, at home, after a courageous and long-fought battle with cancer. Born on May 17, 1957, in Baker, Montana, to William and Doris Peck, Diana grew up in Billings and graduated from Senior High School. In 1975, Diana met the love of her life, Audie Stein, at the Hayloft. The two were married in 1980 and recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary this past October. Together, they raised two children, Katie and Luke. For 43 years, Diana was a dedicated employee at Sysco, where she held many positions and deeply loved her "Sysco family." Diana was the definition of willpower and determination. A true warrior, she was first diagnosed with cancer in 1996 and fought many subsequent battles with unwavering grit until the very end. She was a rock to many, she was always there to listen, provide guidance, and help anyone in need. Diana will be remembered for her authentic nature, her unforgettable laugh, and her quick-witted sense of humor. A jokester at heart, who loved to play pranks.

Her passions were many. She loved spending time outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and gardening. An adventurous traveler and a talented creator who enjoyed baking wedding cakes, making flower arrangements, and various crafts. Her love for animals led her to recently start a horse business with her son, Luke. Diana also cherished family gatherings, especially game nights with her loved ones. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life; she recently started going to Harvest church where she found a sense of belonging. She developed many friendships within the Harvest community. She started attending groups and volunteering and became very active in her faith. Diana is survived by her husband, Audie Stein; her children, Katie Stein and Luke Stein; her father-in-law, Adam Stein; her sisters, Darla (Tom) Day, Debbie (Ron) Frank, and Donna (Rick) Hunter; and her brother, David (Shelley) Oblander, and grandchildren, Haley Roedocker and Tristan Roedocker

A service to celebrate Diana's life will be held at 1:00 on Friday, February 6th at Harvest Church, with a reception to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent’s Foundation in the name of Diana Stein.
