Dennis A. Klakken

Dennis A. Klakken died June 25, 2024, in Rock Springs, Wyoming, at the age of 90.

Dennis was born in Dooley, Montana, on Dec. 4, 1933, to Marvin and Nova (Beery) Klakken. From 1950 until 1955, Dennis served his country in the United States Navy. Following an honorable discharge from the Navy, he attended Hansen Mechanical School in Fargo. On June 29, 1957, Dennis married Carole Bassen in Moorhead, Minnesota. While his early working years were spent ranching, most of his adult life was spent working in the automotive industry.

Dennis and Carole, whom he is survived by, had three children: Dennis Klakken Jr., who preceded him in death, Tamara (Raymond) Sapp and Becky (Leroy) Belless. He leaves behind eight grandchildren (two are deceased), 21 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from to 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 7, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, July 8, in Pleasantview Cemetery, Ballantine.
