Dale Dean Russell

Dale Dean Russell, 87 of Billings, passed away on January 14, 2023. Dale was born October 13, 1935, Barnard, Nodaway County, Missouri.
The son of Orvale and Lela Mae (Hope) Russell, he was raised in Missouri to Valley City, ND with his siblings. Graduating College City High school, Valley City, ND, he joined the Marines.
Dale married Roberta Jean (Sutherland) Wallace on September 7, 1978.
After serving his county, he worked for Great Northern Railroad, Mountain Bell, US West as a Installer, retiring January of 1993.
After Retirement he volunteered with Air Force Recruiting office in Billings for 12 years. He love playing Santa Claus for his close family and friends, until his health wouldn’t allow. The last ten years he really enjoyed his Saturday lunches with his grandson Adam.
His family and friends meant everything in the world to him.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents, wife Jean. Dale is survived by Daughter Carrie (Tucson, AZ), son Chad, Stepson Tim (Mary) Wallace (Laurel, MT), Grandson Adam Wallace (Billings), Granddaughter Jennifer (Salt Lake City, UT), and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside service will be held in Miles City, MT.
