Christopher James Myers passed away unexpectedly on September 23, 2026, at the age of 42.

Chris was born on December 7, 1983, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from Joliet High School in 2002 and later attended Montana State University, where he studied film. He went on to build a career as a video engineer with Spectrum Telecommunications.

Above all else, Chris was a devoted and loving father to his three children, Ethan, Quinton, and Ava Lynch. His children meant the world to him, and some of his happiest moments were simply spent together—watching movies and taking vacation trips. Being their dad was one of the most important parts of his life.

Chris had a kind and loving heart and an energy that drew people to him. He loved talking with people, making little jokes. His smile was contagious, and he had a way of making those around him laugh and feel welcome. He was a beloved son, father, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend.

Music was always a big part of Chris's life, especially hip-hop. He loved discovering new music, sharing it with others, and going to live concerts. As an older brother, he made sure Jake was introduced to the latest music at an early age.

Chris also loved being on the water, spending time at the lake, and being around animals. He had a soft spot for animals throughout his life and was rarely without a dog or cat nearby.

Chris is survived by his children, Ethan, Quinton, and Ava Lynch; his parents, Deborah and Jim Brown; his brother, Jake Brown; his grandfather, Jim Studstrup; his uncle, Joseph Studstrup; and his cousins, Austin Rovetti, Alex, Ben, Josh, Sam, and Rachel Studstrup.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Matthew Harkins; his birth father, Larry Myers; and his grandmother, Kaye Studstrup.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Joliet Community Center, 209 E. Front Ave., Joliet, Montana.

In honor of Chris and his lifelong love of animals, those wishing to make a memorial donation are encouraged to give to their local humane society or animal shelter.

Chris will be remembered for his kindness, his humor, his unmistakable energy, and the love he had for his family. He brought laughter into the lives of those around him and created memories that will continue to be shared for years to come. His warmth and personality will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
