Cheryl Lynn (Parkhurst)-Gallagher passed away peacefully on the evening of September 17th, 2026, in her beautiful little home in Billings, Montana surrounded by all her family. Over 2 months prior to her passing, she was showered with love & memories from family & friends across the globe. She will be missed by many folks to whom Cheryl was a mentor & friend. Cheryl’s radiant smile & peaceful demeanor had the rare & amazing capacity to make anyone feel calm & at ease, from a very first meeting to lifelong friends.

Cheryl was born in Lawrence, Kansas – October 17th, 1952. She is preceded in passing by her husband Micheal Gallagher & parents Virginia Katherine (Holloway) Parkhurst & Warren Earl Parkhurst. Cheryl is survived by her son Sean Gallagher & daughter-in-law Stormy Gallagher, grandchildren Seana & Patrick Gallagher, her siblings & their spouses, Lori Brooke (Parkhurst) & Paul Graham, Rick & Jane Parkhurst and Dave & Jamie (Okonek) Parkhurst. Also, in her circle of love & light are nephews & spouses with their children, Mike & Sheena, Walker & Colton Willcox, Mitch & Tawnee & Archie Wilcox & Marshall & Nikitta, Lacey Mae & Whitley Wilcox all of Montana, Kori & Steven Wright & Michele Parkhurst & Tim Gravel, with grandkids Jude, Riley, Bethany, Gabe & Caedance all of Alaska.

Cheryl was a world traveler having lived through her childhood in Sumatra, Indonesia & back to New Orleans, returning to Sumatra. Then after the military coup occurred across Sumatra, the family settled on the island of Singapore. She graduated high school in Lugano, Switzerland, then attended Chaminade College in Honolulu, Hawaii, graduating with her bachelor’s degree. Hawaii is where she called home for just over 50 years.

Cheryl was a force to be reckoned with in the retail world. She began retail at the “Pearl Factory”, moving her way up to Vice President of “Crazy Shirts”. She dabbled in Real Estate for a short time. She then held high ranking positions in the following companies: “Maui Divers”, “Tahitian Pearl Company” & Vice President of “Honolulu Cookie Company” before retiring.
