Charlotte Marion Ghekiere was born on June 13, 2014, in Billings, Montana, to Erica Jarussi Schneider and Adam Ghekiere. She tragically passed away on August 23, 2026, in her hometown. Charlotte was a bright, quirky, intuitive soul with an indomitable spirit; her life was taken far too soon.

For the first three years, Charlotte didn't feel the need to leave her mother's side. As she got bigger, she became curious, independent, feisty and started to develop her unquenchable thirst for new experiences. Her incredible compassion extended to all creatures, with a particular love for cows, bugs, and her cherished dogs, Macy and Ingrid. Charlotte's genuine curiosity about the world was unlimited and she was unapologetically herself. She asked questions thoughtfully and fearlessly and stood firm in her beliefs while also remaining selfless and incredibly sensitive to the needs of those around her.

Her creativity shone through in her love for crocheting, painting, creating diamond art, paddle boarding, and playing the violin. She didn't shy away from athletic pursuits either - she participated in soccer, gymnastics, dance, Ninja Warrior, jiu-jitsu, and was planning on trying her hand at wrestling this year, like her big brother Landon. Over the summer, she and her dad were bonding over video games, golfing and driving her dad around the golf course.

In her final moments, Charlotte's bravery was evident as she made a call that likely saved the lives of first responders, if not her family. Her beautiful life was intertwined with her brother Landon, new siblings Chloe and Owen, bonus grandparents Dana and Barb, great-grandmother Evelyn, and mom Megan. Her passing leaves a profound emptiness.

A memorial service will be held for Charlotte and her brother, Landon, on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 5:30 PM at Camelot Ranch, 8736 Camelot Lane, Billings, MT 59106.
