Carrie Grace Schleder, 63 of Billings passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011 at her home.

The daughter of Chester and Josephine Grace, Carrie was born May 4, 1948 in Williston, ND. She graduated from Williston High School, the College of St. Catherine and received her masters of theology from St. Louis University, St. Louis, MO. She married Tom Schleder in Williston in 1977.

Carrie enjoyed being a director of worship and liturgy and began her career at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Laurel in 1979 and had served parishes in South Dakota and Minnesota before moving to Montana with Tom in 1999.

She was a strong woman devoted to the lives and causes of women.

Survivors include her husband Tom and several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, aunts, uncles and two favorite cousins.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be 10am Thursday at the Mission Ridge Chapel. Interment will be held in Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park.
