Carol Ann (Schaaf) Kimmel, 84, of Billings, Montana, went to be with her Lord on July 18, 2026.
Born on November 24, 1941, to Paul and Eva Schaaf, Carol was one of ten children. She grew up surrounded by family and carried those strong family values throughout her life.
Carol loved camping, reading, baking, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a past member of the Billings Rod & Gun Club, where she enjoyed participating in trap shooting, skeet shooting, and other club activities alongside her husband, Floyd. Carol was also a faithful member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church for more than 60 years.
Carol dedicated over 30 years to serving students in the Billings Public School District lunch program, working at both Will James Middle School and Skyview High School. Her kindness, work ethic, and caring spirit touched countless lives throughout her career.
She is survived by her four children, who were the pride and joy of her life: Carolyn (Rick) Anderson, Sheila (Steve) Buschette, Kevin (Melanie) Kimmel, and Corey (Kim) Kimmel.
She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren: Ashley, Garrett, Julie (Mark), Joshua, Abbie (Logan), Spencer (Haylee), Katie (Seth), Jill, Natalie (Eric), Kalvin, April, Peyton (Riley), and Avery; 21 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Carol is further survived by her siblings: Vivian Michalies, Eva Larsen, Theresa "Terri" Devitt (Randy), and Jerry Schaaf.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Floyd; her parents, Paul and Eva Schaaf; and her siblings Bernadine Schaaf, Genevieve Schaaf, Valentine Schaaf, Paul Schaaf, and MaryAnn McLelland.
Carol will be remembered for her gentle heart, her unwavering faith, her love of family, and the steady kindness she offered to everyone around her. Her warmth, generosity, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
