Beverly D. Neale

Beverly was born on July 2, 1936, in Pipestone, Minnesota to George and Vern Smith. Bev spent her growing up years in Lake Benton, MN. She graduated from Lake Benton High School in 1954. She then moved to Minneapolis where she lived with her friend, Janis Kock. She was employed at the University of Minnesota for a while, then became a secretary in two Minneapolis advertising agencies. In 1956 she married Bob Neale, also a former resident of Lake Benton. After Bob graduated from the U of M, the moved around a lot – St. Paul, Crookston, back to St. Paul, St. Cloud, Brooklyn Park, then retiring in Sauk Rapids in 1986. They moved to Billings, MT in 2021 to be closer to family.

Bev was a member of Sacred Heart Church and Wapicada Golf Club in Sauk Rapids for years. She delivered Meals on Wheels for Good Shepherd Nursing Home for 20 years.

Bev enjoyed reading, golfing, travel – but most especially time spent with her husband Bob, her family and friends. Her family was very important to her – time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren – in person, FaceTime, videos, texts.

Bev is survived by her husband of 69 years, Bob; son, Mark and daughter-in-law Kelly; son-in-law, Tom Voronyak (Kim); grandchildren, Billy (Ginger) Neale, Molly (Jacob) VanBinsbergen; Melanie (Hutch) Kemper; Thomas (Kennedy) Neale; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kim; her parents; 7 sisters; and 3 brothers.
