Benita Ardea Steel Solberg

Benita Ardea Steel Solberg passed away Feb. 2, 2021, peacefully at home, at the age of 81.

She was born Dec. 29, 1939, in Lewistown, Montana, to Benjamin and Ardea Walker Steel. She graduated from Judith Gap and Eastern Montana College. She married Marvin Solberg on July 28, 1962, in Billings. Benita worked at Midland Bank, Reporter Printing, Sears, Tire-Rama and Big Sky Elementary in the lunch room. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She had a kind and giving heart and especially loved her role as a grandma.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Marvin, of 58 years; children Teresa Seward (Randy), Joanna Church (Todd), Mike Solberg (Tanya); grandchildren Isaac, Caryn, Kaitlyn, Marcus, Aaron and Emma. Also surviving is her brother, Ben Steel. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Karen Marie; and her two sisters, Lois Castonguay and Diane Crosbie.

Benita took great pride in her family.
