Amy Maureen Davidson Young went to be with her Lord on January 23, 2025. She was born in Livingston, Montana, on July 2, 1974, to Bradley and Susan Davidson. Amy grew up a farm girl in the country near Huntley, Montana, with her loving sister, Angie Davidson. Angie recalls their fun playing in the mud as kids and their obsession with Little House on the Prairie. Amy graduated from Shepherd High School in 1993 and lived most of her life in Billings, Montana.

Amy became a “full-fledged nurse” in 2001 when she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Montana State University. She was a caring and dedicated Registered Nurse for 20+ years, working in the Departments of Medical Oncology, Hospice, and Psychiatric Mental Health, to name a few. Amy touched the hearts of many with her healing hands, and she received several Daisy Awards from her patients for her care.

Amy always said, “The one thing I wanted most to be in life was a mom.” She was a loving mother to her three children, Chantanelle, Allison, and Kenneth. She taught her children to care for and protect the vulnerable and less fortunate. She taught them it was okay to be emotional and talk about their feelings. She passed down her love for music, animals, and her goofy sense of humor.

Amy had a lot of hobbies that she enjoyed and shared with her loved ones. She loved animals, visiting the Billings Zoo was one of her favorite pastimes and she loved her kitty, Diva. She loved going on walks & hikes and feeling close to nature. She was always singing something, and likely dancing along too. Amy had a real competitive side, and loved playing games- some of her favorites being Rummikub & ping-pong.

She was survived by her three children, Chantanelle, Allison, and Kenneth; her parents, Bradley & Susan, and her sister, Angie.

Amy had great faith and deeply believed in Jesus Christ. We believe he has embraced her in his loving arms.

In place of flowers, donations can be made to Billings’ Community Crisis Center, somewhere Amy worked as a nurse.
