Agnes C. Jones

Mom passed away peacefully of February 19, 2006 at the age of 103 years. Agnes C. Jones was born January 8, 1903 in Porton, Hungary to Michael and Mary (Torzok) Mann. She arrived in the United States with her mother, grandfather, older brother and sister in March 1903, traveling to Mandan, North Dakota where her father settled on a farm prior to their arrival.

She met her future husband, Edward Jones, in 1921. He was a Northern Pacific Railroad Employee. They were married November 6, 1922. Edward worked for the NP Railroad for 52 years passing away on December 13, 1973.

In the fall of 1998 she moved into assisted living. We would like to thank the staff of Autumn Care Center for their care and compassion during her stay.

Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, four sisters, and an infant son. Survivors include a son, Robert Jones, daughter Margaret Lehman, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson all of Billings, sisters Mary of Sacramento, CA and Kathryn of Olympia, WA.

In accordance with her wishes cremation had taken place. Agnes requested no services be held. Memorials may be made to Montana Hope Project, Box 5927, Helena, MT 59604.
