Norma Fagan

Norma Dorothy Fagan, 89 of Billings, passed away Friday May 3, 2013 at Grand Park Vintage Suites.

One of thirteen children, Norma was born July 19, 1923 in Sydney, Australia. During WWII she met an American soldier, Robert Fagan. They were married November 20, 1944 in Sydney and had been married 69 years when Bob passed away, February 19, 2013. In 1947 they moved their family to Cut Bank and in the early 1970s to Billings.

An LPN, Norma had worked in Cut Bank and at Western Manor and Parkview Convalescent Center in Billings.

She enjoyed bowling, knitting, crocheting, cross stitch and bird watching. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, the United Veterans Council and volunteered with the DAV.

She is survived by her son Royal and daughters Colleen Wigen and Patricia Fagan all of Billings, 2 brothers, “Mush” and “Cab” Woodbury of Australia, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her son Ean preceded her in death in 1998.

Funeral Mass will be 11am Wednesday at Holy Rosary Church and Rite of Committal with be at the Yellowstone County Veterans Cemetery.
