Nancy L. Caldwell, 68, of Billings, passed away July 22,2014, at home after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born December of 1945 to Joseph and Ruby Lopez in Kenilworth, UT.
The family moved between Utah and Tennessee several times as she was growing up. In 1963 she graduated from High School in Utah. In 1964 she married Jerome “Buz” Brumley and they moved to Billings in 1968. They had two children, Tina (1970) and Travis (1972). In 1969 she completed beauty school and began working as a hairdresser from home which meant she was always close by for her children as they grew up. In 1977 she and Buz divorced but they remained good friends. In early 1979 she met Cecil Caldwell and they were married in June of that year.
At the time of her passing, Nancy was enjoying retirement, spending time with her family, friends and her beloved dog Bear.
She is survived by her daughter Tina Kimber and her husband Cole; her son Travis Brumley; her sister Victoria Stewart and her husband Warren; and her sister Patricia Jergins as well as many relatives in Utah and Tennessee. Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil, and her parents.
She was thought of as a second mom by many and she will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
In accordance with Nancy’s wishes, no services will be held. Her ashes will be joined with her husband’s and scattered in the ocean surrounding Maui, a place they both loved so much.
