Mary K. Scherger Hill went to meet the Lord on June 5th, 2013 after a long battle with MS. Although she will be greatly missed by all who love her, we have joy knowing she is with her Savior Jesus and she will no longer suffer. Mary was born the second of six children on March 22, 1954 in Billings to Robert H. Scherger of Glendive and Mary Studer Scherger of Billings. As a young girl she excelled at ballet and gymnastics. She graduated from Billings Senior High in 1972. She then met and married David B. Hill in 1974. They had two children together and later divorced in 1983. Mary devoted her life to caring for her children and was very involved in caring for her parents and siblings. She enjoyed gardening, decorating, cooking and baking. Her favorite color was pink. In 1994 Mary graduated with High Honors from Rocky Mountain College with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. Mary used her degree as a social worker at the Mental Health Center. She spent many years caring for her clients with compassion. Mary had great sensitivity and compassion in her heart and a serving spirit. She loved to laugh and be with family. She will be greatly missed by her children, family and friends. We would like to especially thank the nurses and staff of Valley Health Care for all their care and helping her live her last year with dignity. Mary is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jimmy. She is survived by children Ericka (Danny) Wyrwas, Ben (Jenni) Hill, grandson Jove, her sister Clare (Gary) Roberson, brothers Robert, Joseph (Michele), and John (Karen) Scherger, and their children. Memorial services will be 11am Thursday at Harvest Church, 1235 Wicks Lane.
