Marian H. Wilson, 89, of Billings, died at St. John’s Nursing Home on Monday, Nov. 1, 2012.

She was born on Dec. 17, 1922, in Jamestown, N.D., daughter of Carl M. and Ruth W. Hanson. In 1936, the family moved to Billings. Marian graduated from Billings Senior High in 1940 and Billings Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in 1943. She worked many years as a private duty nurse and later as a nursing supervisor. Marian’s interests included golfing and playing her organ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Wilson; and her son, Robert Slayton. She is survived by a son, Ronald Slayton (Becky); grandchildren Julianne Hall (Brady) of Boise, Idaho, James Slayton (Ashley) of Helena, Rob Slayton (Andrea) and Rich Slayton of Billings. In addition, she had three great-grandchildren: Samuel Hall and Gabe and Alexandria Slayton. She is also survived by brothers Carl Hanson of Roberts and Robert Hanson of Graz, Austria.

Marian spent the last four years at Vista and recently at St. John’s. The family would like to thank the staff for her excellent care.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Cremation has taken place.
