LaVonne Louise “Bonnie” Fischer passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, at Sweetwater Retirement Community.
Bonnie was born on Jan. 15, 1930, the daughter of Carl and Agnes Wimmer. She graduated from Central High School in La Crosse, Wis. After graduation, she attended Long Beach Community College in Long Beach, Calif.
On Oct. 1, 1949, she married Carl Edward Fischer. He passed away in August of 1982.
She was a member of St. Thomas Church and the Yellowstone Country Club. She served on the board of directors for Big Sky Hospice. She also served as vice president of the Billings Symphony Women’s Committee. She was a volunteer at St. Vincent Hospital and a longtime member of the Billings Studio Theatre.
Survivors are her four children, Cyndi MacDonald (Greg), Tonya Dokken (Peder), Debbie Fischer and Shawn Fischer; six grandchildren, Kimberly MacDonald (Tyler Voight), Brian MacDonald, Chase Dokken, Anna Peterson, Molly Peterson and Charlie Peterson; and several nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed her family, reading, knitting and working in her flower gardens. Mom enjoyed a good joke, a good party, a good laugh and, most of all, time spent with family and friends.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 2055 Woody Drive.
