Keith Wolff, age 70, passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours on Thursday, Feb 20, 2014.
Keith was a man larger than life itself! His genuine kindness and generosity to all whom he met was truly remarkable. He will be missed by his wife, Bev; stepson Jess; stepdaughter Lisa Day; her husband Mike; and his grandchildren Maria, Molly, Sarah, Johnny and Gracie. He made our lives so full with his wonderful sense of humor, his twinkling eyes and beautiful smile. He loved giving out hugs and we know many of you are still feeling the loving warmth of his bear-hugs. We’ll all miss his big heart.
Keith was an ironworker before owning and operating the Pryor Creek Bar in Huntley for 15 years. He made so many wonderful friends and cherished the times they stopped by. He loved his staff, as they all held a place in his heart. He also had a special bond with Linda, his bar manager … they were a pair to watch!
He was involved in horse racing and excelled as a trainer. He was most especially proud of one of his many horses, Lucky Ministrell. He helped that horse become a winner over and over again! He made many great friends at various race tracks.
Keith was always encouraging his grandchildren to work hard towards their ambitions. He was a great supporter and cheerleader of their endeavors. He was a wonderful buddy to Jess, as he was always there for him. Mikey, his poodle, dearly misses him.
Keith is survived by one sister, Sharon, in California. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma and Dewey; and four brothers, Dewey Jr., Gene, Don and Corky.
Keith also helped with transporting food to the food pantry at the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Shepherd. He was proud to be a part of that project. Memorials can be sent to Emanuel Lutheran Church Food Pantry, PO Box 66, Shepherd, MT 59070. Or please send a memorial of your choice.
