Gerald Lee Becker, 78, our husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, passed away with loved ones next to him on Dec. 16, 2014, in Billings, due to respiratory and health issues.
He was born to Clifford and Mildred Becker on Aug. 18, 1936, in Yuma, Colo. While growing up in Colorado, he met the love of his life, Elaine Marie Wilson. They were married on June 29, 1958.
Gerald worked for many ranchers, fixing and tinkering around on machinery. This led him into working for U.S. Bureau of Reclamation as a core drill foreman, retiring after 31 years. He loved the beautiful outdoors, enjoying fishing, camping, hunting, along with birdwatching, and was a NASCAR fan.
He and his wife had four children: Mickey Becker (Sue), Steve Becker (Joanie), Shelly Eastman (Robert) and Larry Becker (Debbie). Gerald was blessed with 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is survived by four brothers and sisters: Lorena Kiser, Roy Becker (Betty), Carole Fisher (Elliott) and Danny Becker (Peggy). He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Mildred; as well as his son, Larry Becker.
His wishes were to be cremated followed by memorial service celebrating his life in the beautiful outdoors.
Cards and flowers to be sent to Michelotti-Sawyers.
