Earl Henley

Earl E. Henley died peacefully at Billings Clinic Hospital, with his family at his side, on Dec. 1, 2014.

He was born in Glendive on July 20, 1929, to Gus and Hazel (Bolton) Henley. He graduated from Terry High School, where he lettered in football and met the love of his life, Polly Schott.

They married on May 21, 1948, and moved to Laurel, where Earl worked as a switchman for the railroad and at a local garage before hiring on with Mountain Bell, where he worked for 30 years. They had three children.

Grampa was always there for his family. He had his own spin on things and was quite comical at times. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved Poly; daughter Connie Ford; and great-grandson Clinton Ford.

He is survived by daughter Patty (Gary) Cantrell; son Guy Henley; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave.
