Shirley Pfister Lawrence, age 77, died July 19. She was born February 26, 1936 in Columbus Montana to Mildred and Charles Pfister. She was raised on the Fannie Nichol ranch in the Stillwater Valley. She went to grade school at Lower White Bird and Columbus High School.
Shirley married Francis Lawrence in 1954 and they then moved to Billings. To this marriage daughters Lynn, Janis and Kelly were born. They were later divorced.
Shirley worked as a dental assistant and home care giver. She loved to bake all kinds of goodies, and she enjoyed eating them even more. She loved to shop for bargains and enjoyed all the holidays especially Christmas where she decorated the house with many special decorations she had gather over the years.
She is survived by her daughter Lynn Luck (Greg), sister Patricia Pfister Johnson, aunts Pauline Hartman and Mary Arnold (Art) an uncle, Jack Nichol (Lois), grandchildren Heather Thompson, Skye Peterson (Eric), Mikol Eberle, Troy Phares, Wesley Phares (Shannah) and 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughters Janis and Kelly.
She was a gentle soul and gave to others much more than she received. She will be sorely missed by all.
Services will be held Thursday, August 1 at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Avenue at 1 p.m. Reception to follow the service, the location yet to be decided.
