Marion Ahrens

Marion Thelma Ahrens, age 80, formerly of Wolf Point, and for the past 10 years of Billings, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, August 13, 2007. Complications from Alzheimer’s Disease has taken her to “Her Glorious Beyond.”

She was born February 9, 1927 in Wolf Point, the daughter of Lars and Margit Stensland of North Wolf Point. She attended Wolf Point schools and 2 years of college. She taught school at several rural locations. On June 19, 1949, she and Bill Ahrens were married in Wolf Point, where they farmed and raised their family.

Marion enjoyed gardening and flowers, needlework, painting, playing cards, cooking great meals and baking bread, and just visiting with friends and family. She was active in her church and enjoyed going to her kids sports and activities.

Marion is survived by her husband, Bill of Billings; son, Lynn Ahrens and his wife, Lana of Sunburst, MT; two daughters, Linda Brauer and her husband, Ray of Gurley, Nebraska and Denise Schreiner and her husband, John of Klamath Falls, Oregon. She is the proud grandmother of Janae, Jerri and Steven Ahrens, Lauren Brauer, Aaron Brauer and wife, Nicole. She is Great grandmother of Treyton Pickering and David Brauer. She is also survived by her sisters, Doris Brown of Seattle, Washington and Alice Dorrest of Lehigh Acres, Florida and her brother, Ernest Stensland of Wolf Point.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Junette Nelson; and a brother, George Stensland.

Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Thursday, August 16th, at Peace Lutheran Church in Billings. A reception will follow at the church.
