| Remembrances
Although I didn't know Steve well, what I knew of him was that he was generous and willing to help. When my daughter was hospitalized in Butte on a stormy winter day Steve insisted that we borrow his suburban so we could get there to be with her. I was very grateful for his kindness and concern. He was also a very caring and attentive Father. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Stevie, We are so very, very sorry to hear about your Dad. He was a wonderful man! He loved you very much and was sooo proud of you. We will always remember his great sense of humor. Thoughtfully, Heather, Jim, JT and Jesse Rahr
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Stevie and her family during this time of loss. From Drs. Youngbauer's and staff

Steve followed in his Dad's footsteps and received his pilot's license in his early twenties. He actually purchased his plane before he got the license. He followed his Dad in other ways too. He worked for his Dad for many years as an installer for Curtiss Communications. He later took over the family business. Steve operated Curtiss Communication until the time of his death. Steve is preceded in death by his father, Mark Curtiss; cousins Gary Southern and Vickie Wenke; uncles Duwaine Curtiss and Laverne "Doc" Curtiss; aunt Wilma "Corky" Curtiss; paternal grandparents Francis and Christine Curtiss; maternal grandmother Maude Forberg. Steve is survived by his daughters, Stevie Jean, Priscilla, Jenna, and son, Chance and by his grandchildren, Tegan, Brooklyn, Jaylin, Brayden, and Kaiden. He is also survived by his mother, Lois Jean Curtiss; his brothers, Larry (Sandy), Havre; Brad (Jean), Missoula, Ron (Teri), Dan (Lynette) and Mark (Kim), all of Billings and by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and very many friends. He truly enjoyed spending time with his kids, his grandkids, his family, and friends. Something else that Steve enjoyed doing was reading in the Curtiss (library). Steve had a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be 3pm Friday at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary.

Jenna and Chance; So sorry about your Dad's passing--I just lost mine about six weeks ago and know the emptiness and loss and I can't tell you it will go away anytime soon, but always try and remember the memories and it will ease that pain. Please share my prayers and thoughts with other family members. Prayers to you all, Ms. Linda Lentz
Steve was such a nice guy and had a great sense of humor! He was a friend (and neighbor) to our family. I will never forget the times he would come over with this grin on his face and 3 candy bars for each of my kids. He was such a great Dad to Stevie and a good grandpa!! He will truly be missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace, Steve! Love, Jason, Stephanie, Hailey, Caden & Erika
We would like to extend out deepest sympathy to the family of Steve. We will all remember his smile and laughter. From all of his friends at Border States Electric Supply.
This is written with an extremely heavy heart. Steve-O was one of my favorite people in the whole world. He could make a person laugh and always made me feel like a million bucks. He's been a friend for almost 30 years and I will forever treasure my many memories of always hanging out at the Curtiss house, driving around in Mark's van and the many years of gut wrenching laughter (especially playing UNO). Stevie, we are thinking of you and wish we could be there to give you a big hug. I'm out of state until next week but my heart and thoughts are with all of you. All our love, Gayle, Marvin, Emily & Brian Eicholtz
Lois, we are with you and support you in this difficult time. Your family loves you and will surround you with care. Please keep on keeping on. Our prayers are with you. Jay and Lisa Forseth in Columbus
Stevie and family, We are sorry about your dad. We'll keep you and your family in our prayers. What we knew of Steve, he was a wonderful man. I'll never forget how he stayed with my daughter and me when our grandson was critically ill. Darrian and Riley's grand parents. Bill and Barb Leingang, Kalispell,Mt
Stevie, Jane and I are very sad about the passing of your Dad. We wish we could have been there for the services, but were not able to make the trip. We will miss him and his wonderful sense of humor, but most of all his refreshingly honest way of conductiong his life. He was one of the greatest friends a man could have. Chuck and Jane Driscoll
To the family of Steve Curtiss Our condolences to all. Steve handled the phones in our office for many years. He and his dad were always a pleasure to work with and had such a great attitude. We have fond memories of their up beat personalities. World Class Travel 216 No. 29th St. Billings, MT 59101
Ron,Dan,Mark Lois,Stevie,Pricella,Jenna, and Chance, I am sorry for your loss. Steve was a good friend and buddy to Roberta and I. We had stopped and talk to him about joining us riding bicycles, just the week before. I was during out the last week working. I am sorry to have missed the service. Jim and Roberta Fuller Computer-Technical Consulting Service.
I will never forget the help Steve and his family gave to my daughter Tori and I when we first moved to Billings in 1999. As a single mom with a 3 month old going to college it was nice having family in town. Steve gave us a place to stay when bee's invaded my bathroom, invited us over for barbeques, and his daughters babysat for Tori. My Mom Vickie cared a lot about her cousin Steve and I know they are up in heaven together having a wonderful reunion. Steve was a wonderful person and will be missed. Katie (Wenke) Peterson
