Remembrances

Costello Family~Jan and Family,

I will miss Casey so much, I have not been in touch with him for many years but he will always hold a HUGE place in my heart....My first encounter with Casey was at Albertsons, I was a bag girl and he worked in the meat dept and bakery.. well he sprayed me with the water hose in the meat dept and I so did not like him...but as time went on he grows on you....he was my best friend back in those days I flew home from LAX and Denver just so we could hang around and to see my family also....I remember one time we even tried to kiss it was so yucky it was like kissing my brother and from the look on his face he felt the same....I could tell you tons of stories as I am sure we all have about Casey but when he was in your heart he was a tough guy to ever forget.....I will love you forever Casey, I am so happy you found happiness Your Friend for life...Gina Frickel-Branstetter Park City, Mt

Casey James Costello was born at St. Vincent Hospital, in Billings, November 3, 1967, to James D. and Jan L. Costello. He left this world peacefully, November 26, 2008, to be with his father, sister, and his Lord Jesus Christ.

Casey weighed in at 4lb. 14 oz of knee caps and elbows. To say he was an “active” child would be an understatement. He had an enormous amount of energy, that carried on into his adult life. There was no task that was too big for him. He would tackle anything from insurance to plumbing.

Casey graduated from Billings Senior High School in 1986. It was his wish to earn a degree in business so he attended EMC (now MSU-Billings) for about 2 ½ years. While attending EMC he met and later married Angela Proctor of Laurel. To that union two beautiful boys were born; Joshua James and Logan Daniel. Sadly, the marriage ended in divorce in 1995.

Casey loved the insurance business and stayed in it full time and part time. In 1989 he joined the Army National guard and had been with them 19 years prior to his death. He also worked at the Alberta Bair Theatre setting up sound systems for concerts

Casey was a very successful man who had many passions. He loved to cook, go fishing, camping, tinkering with his many computers, most of all, his handyman skills were fantastic and he always finished jobs that he started.

Casey met the love of his life, Jody Kitchin, in August, 2002. the two married November 14, 2003, 2 months before he was deployed to Iraq. After spending a little over a year, he returned to his new bride and her two daughters, Madelyn and Tasha.

Survivors include his wife Jody; sons, Joshua and Logan, Belgrade, MT; step-daughters, Madelyn and Tasha, of the family home; mother, Jan, and step-father, Loren (Skip) Clevenger, Billings, MT; mother-in-law, Margaret Handeland and her husband Don, Fromberg, MT; many step brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles and cousins on the Costello, Carlson, Montgomery, Clevenger sides; Godparents, George and Judy Frank, Billings, MT.

Casey was preceded in death by his father, Jim; sister Kelly; grandparents, Frank and Catherine Costello; grandparents, Howard and Lorna Montgomery, Junction City, KS; uncle Tom Costello, and aunt Jeanette Carlson, whom he dearly loved.

Services will be held at 3pm Tuesday, December 2nd at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, with cremation to follow.

Memorials may be made to St. Vincent DePaul, American Diabetes Association, or the charity of ones choice.

I want to thank you for being such a wonderful, supportive husband. I was hoping to spend a lot more time with you, but God needed you more. So baby save me some rom.. Until I can be with you again, Jody.

Casey, you were more of a father to me than my own. You were always there for me, and I’ll never forget you. I love you. Your daughter, Tasha

Son, did you know that every time I saw you it made my day? I was so proud of your, the husband, the father, the son, the soldier and the man you became. I love you with all my heart and will miss you all the days of my life, Mama.
